Abrasive or Shot blasting is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under high pressure to smooth a rough surface, roughen a smooth surface, remove surface contaminant, and ensure proper adhesion of paint to the surface.

Surface Preparation (Painting)
Depending on client specifications, a 2 coat or a 3 coat can be applied to any steel fabricated products. A typical 3-coat paint system with total 250-350 microns will consists of a primary coat (primer), an intermediate coat (mid coat), and a top coat of a color or finish typically specified by the end user.
